Masterclasses and a wide range of workshops run by professional practitioners form an intrinsic part of our program, which is backed up with ongoing input from teaching staff, former students, visiting critics, class tutors, and other industry specialist who share their know-how with our students
Gain hands-on experience
The school is constantly building new industry partnerships so our students have plenty of opportunities to gain experience on the ground. Through video shoots, official interviews, stage lighting and sound engineering, creating audiovisual and digital content, media communications and more, students gain real-life experience in the fast-paced creative skills economy. They are involved in celebrity events, like the César Awards, and work alongside respected figures in their disciplines, giving them a chance to develop their professional network.
Work placements to gain practical experience
Work placements are key to our students’ training, offering them a valuable springboard into the jobs market. At the end of the course each of our future graduates gets to spend time immersed in a real-life professional setting, which will give them the precise skillset they need for their choice of career.
Work-based training—seeing the industry from the inside
For certain specializations, 3iS students have the option of spending their final year combining a work placement with teaching modules. This training mode guarantees employers a cohort of work-ready students and graduates who understand the challenges of their industry, and will hit the ground running. And it means our students enjoy the benefits of high-quality training, while broadening their professional experience and financing their studies. Our Industry Relations department offers all the support students need, from finding the right placement to signing the work-based training contract.
